Like backup cameras. Which I have gotten far too used to, judging by how badly I borked my parking this eve. Buried half my compass before realizing I was halfway into the boulevard. That snow is a lot deeper than it looks.
Has anyone noticed how badly brains will slack when the info is right in front of them and requires no thinking? A la GPS nav, or blind spot monitoring, or in this case a backup cam with Beepy Beepy bits?

I've never driven a car with blind spot monitoring or GPS, so that's not an issue for me. We do have a car with a backup camera, but I always ignore it and back up the old fashioned way.

I have never driven a car with many assists like that and personally don't like all the computer stuff in cars now days. Makes people even worse drivers than before :)

When I drive my mother's van, I often try not to use the backup camera (It's often covered in salt though, and The proximity sensors are really annoying, my father tried to annoy me today, imitating them.)

Well, I did try to parallel park a Mini convertible for the first time the other day. I did okay, but took quite a while, people were probably like "Look at this guy can't even park his mini in a spot fit for a durango.
